Don't use that sim card that we got in the mail it blew up my phone
[That's it. That's his warning. He didn't have high expectations for their 'compensation' but he hadn't considered it's be actively dangerous.
Despite having just had his phone explode, though, and his hands wrapped up in bandages, he's still going to be working at the teahouse the next day. And the day after, smiling through the unbearable pain. He can't just close the place, but also he can't leave it unsupervised.]
[Closed to Nier | 06/25]
[It's evening when he reviews the sim card that came in the mail, unmarked but on the date that they would have expected their compensation from AVA. Along with new missions, Yuya's sure they're related. But it isn't until now that he looks at it carefully, and bites the bullet to see what AVA has given them.
And that's why he's in the hospital lobby, holding back tears as his hands hang covered in fresh burn marks and blood, being directed to the next open office in order to have his hands tended to. It's just the kind of thing a medical student can help with, for education.]

teahouse closes at 230 know where it is?
[Because he doesn't want to have to try and peck out his home address.]

[ Noah mostly studies from home, so he can head outnwheneve he wants to. He makes his way to the teahouse a little earlier than the discussed time - his white hair and deep blue eyes make him stand out against the other passersby. He's dressed almost entirely in white, and has made sure to cover his hands with gloves. ]
Yuya, is that you?
[ He's seen the youth's netowke profile, but just to be sure... ]
no subject
Um, yes. [Yuya raises one bandaged hand in greeting.] You're Noah, right?
[Yuya's heard of his family, of course, but he doesn't know him personally.]
no subject
[ He quickly enters the teahouse, concern written all over his face. ]
Um, do you mind taking off the bandages for me? I promise you won't need them after I finish.
[ It seems very difficult for Yuya, which only strengthens his resolve to put his healing power to use. Once the interfering wound dressings are gone, he puts his hands together in a praying position. His moon catalyst appears in the air above his hands, and silver moonlight begins to shine around Yuya's injury, mending the torn skin and muscle back to their original pristine state. Noah feels simultaneously the chill of crystal traveling from his wrists and up towards his arm, but he's resolved himself to accept such a thing. As long as he can help...
The light fades after a while, leaving Yuya's hands in unblemished condition. Noah seems pleased by the effect. ]
Does it still hurt?

He bites his lip and tries not to let his show on his face as he holds out his hands. His brows raise as Noah's magic beings, having not expecting whatever his healing magic to be, to be a mini moon.
It works, though, and once he's finished Yuya wiggles his fingers to test them.] Um... no. It doesn't.
no subject
That's good... hopefully it'll be easier on you now.
[ Noah's focused expression relaxes into a smile. ]
I can heal a lot of things, but not inborn stuff. If you get hurt or find anyone else hurt, just let me know.

[ The moon catalyst vanishes, since he only calls it out when he needs to use magic. ]
Deliberately sending bombs to people... whoever caused it is beyond awful.

[ Not after seeing both Connor and Yuya hurt. Nier would have wanted to make the app's makers pay... but Noah doesn't feel the same sort of anger. It's a little surprising; how he's able to keep calm through all of this. ]
We'll need to find them, but we don't have many leads yet. I don't like waiting, but it seems the only thing we can do for now.

[ Maybe it's a futile hope, but Noah has to hope. There has to be a way to help - his mind won't accept otherwise. ]

[He's a high school drop out, not the person you rely on for unmasking technologically advanced... spirits? Aliens? Secret government agencies?]
no subject
[ He feels a burst of resolve when he says that. It feels like he's almost compelled to hold that belief, but he doesn't see anything wrong with it. ]

I kind of wish I could be like everyone that can't tell what's happening. [But are they really in less danger? Everyone's surrounded by a laser barrier.] You don't think we're being targeted, do you?
no subject
It might be that we're being singled out. Especially 'cause not even my family can really understand what's happening. Healing magic makes no scientific sense yet it's obvious that it does exist. Like we're the only ones who have woken up from some sort of illusion....
no subject
Or maybe only we can see the world this way, like spirits. That's what Jun thought it could be.
no subject
[ Noah is trying to understand what Yuya could mean. While he was definitely a scientific adherent before all of this, his own abilities are already proving an alternative. ]
