Don't use that sim card that we got in the mail it blew up my phone

[ He settles down the kettle on the stove and moved back and forth to grab more. He's really competent at things when he takes it seriously and he's not slacking off. No goofy Judai today. ]

You can restock food from the main freezer to the cooled cabinets.

[Yuya moves over to the laptop that's sitting on the background table, sliding the tip of his finger along the track pad to open Excel.] And then the chairs up from need to be brought down and all tables wiped ten minutes before we open.

[ Judai does everything that he's told, staying silent the entire time. He glances at Yuya now and then to make sure that he's not grabbing things or something similar. ]

[ He will finish everything without a word and leave no mistakes. Coming from the front, he looks over at Yuya. Is that everything? ]

[Yuya's not doing more than poking the schedule sheets, but he looks up when Judai comes back and then looks at the clock.]

Abby should be in soon. Can you make sure there's no dirty dishes still waiting for yesterday? There won't be more until the first customers are done.

Yeah.

[ He gets right to it. While washing them, he speaks up. He's a bit louder to compensate for the noisy running water and dishes clinking against each other. ]

He gets up from his seat to wait in front to let Abby in, since he doesn't have a phone for her to text. They both linger up front talking and Yuya brushes off the state of his hands before ushering her back to put her things away so they're both ready for the first customers. It usually isn't long on a saturday people people file in for early tea.]

[ Judai makes the considerate choice of staying in the back. When he actually uses his brain, he understands tact. Instead, he makes sure to send out Winged Kuriboh in spirit form so no one could see him. For the entire day, the flying hairball will rat Yuya out if he uses his hands at all. ]

[Yuya doesn't really hide it, anyway, when it gets busy in the early morning and Yuya needs to load up a second serving cart, steep tea, and get customers orders ready. The house, as usual, is packed. And he swats away any attempts to interrupt.

Customers only get a bright and cheerful service, of course. It's like Jekyll and Hyde between the back and the front.]

[ Judai doesn't want to make a scene and cause a more stressful day so he bites his tongue, letting it slide for now. At the end of the day, he will get a very upset Judai who normally doesn't give The Disappointing Dad look. What do you have to say about yourself, young man ]

Instead at closing he pulls an envelope out of the safe and holds it put to Judai.] This is your paycheck for the week.

[And also the money from the previous paychecks he didn't take, so it's a little thick.]

[ Judai looks down at the envelope and pushes it away, up to Yuya's chest. ]

Use it for your medical bills.

[Yuya just gives Judai a baffled look.]

I don't... need it for my medical bills? [What is he talking about.] We make enough from the teahouse and I have insurance.

[And... money still from life insurance but that's not fun to talk about.] The law means I have to pay you. You need to take your paycheck. All of it.

[ He takes the envelope then just holds it out. He's going to be a lil shit ]

Now I'm giving it to you.

I don't want it. [Why is it always like this.] And I don't need it. If I did I wouldn't have hired you.

No! It's a paycheck Judai, you're an employee, you don't get to decide not to take it! I'm legally required to give it to you!

Then you can quit! [Yuya waves an arm our, shoulders squaring even tenser in frustration.] I told you I wanted an employee, that means you get treated like one without fighting with me about it. You knew you were getting paid going into this!

[ Judai maintains eerily still, unfazed by Yuya's outburst. He stands his ground. ]

I did and I only take what I need. Afterwards, I'm choosing to give it to you. Why can't you just take it, not as an employee but as a friend?

[Yuya growls in frustration.] Because I don't want your stupid charity! I don't want your paycheck back! I want you to stop making this such a headache for me every week when you agreed to work for me as an employee.

[ Judai has been trying to keep his cool. He's made so many mistakes when he let his emotions get the best of him, but his voice starts to raise. ]

I've been taking the pay so it's my decision on what to do with it! I'm not pitying you or doing some charitable act! I just don't need that much money!

Then you shouldn't have agreed to work for that much money. Why can't you figure out anything else to do with it when I've told you multiple times you can't leave it with me?!
