Two things we should keep in mind:
Finally, I have a hypothesis that’s been giving me insomnia and those who consider themselves entertainment-fans might recognize it as a popular theme in science-fiction. The majority of you are young adults, so I’m more hopeful than not (if you truly understand it’s depth in study, now that’s another story). It’s a real quantum concept though, despite it being a problematic topic when people say “science” . . . Anyway, before I get too enlivened, some evidence here is bugging me. Is anyone familiar with the Multiverse theory?
If it’s hard to understand, I can always explain in person. Stop by the City Zoo after 4 p.m., Gibbon Exhibit. I’ll be there until late this week. Or, if you don’t mind, I can always go in depth here while we wait for our rewards or an update on our melodramatic blackmailing. I’m quite flexible.
1. Don’t touch the barrier by any means. I haven’t, but a baseball of mine has and it’s now a mound of toasted cow-hide.
2. It’s expanding. For the last ten days I’ve kept a close eye on three of the limit points for cross reference, and the barrier inches forward anywhere between two to three feet a day. It’s a remarkable increase, number wise.
3. There’s a third, I apologize. Residents might want to keep an eye out for new locations— our appless neighbors are going to say it’s been there for as long as they can remember, but I know we didn’t have an Internet cafe on Main Street.

[STICKING TO HIS LIE]
Oh? What's the tidbit?

I only know offhandedly about some people on the app gaining abilities and haven't had much time to delve deeper into that without my professional life taking a nose dive, but would you happen to know if we have out-worlders like yourself who've gained anything?
no subject
I've gained something, but it was more regaining something I had before - so I wouldn't call it a "new" ability.
[He leaves it at that. ]
Did you get a memory about having an ability?

Anyway, not so much as having an ability myself. More like monsters could be the next thing to drop into our dome. Someone pointed out that it's certainly big enough for that, and I can't help but worry that'll be an eventual surprise. Believable?

[He pauses, but there really isn't anything to gain by evading this one. If Zeke was hoping to hear something comforting....yeah. Sorry. .]
Mm, I'm afraid so. If anything, I'm surprised there hasn't been any monster sightings yet. In cases similar to this, usually the cities were overrun by monsters by now.
Why that hasn't happened yet has been among my investigation inquiries.

That isn't a priority though (if anything, it's a plus), so continuing. In the event that monsters do start raining from the sky:
[ he's stopped right there. he's just remembered something worse. it takes a few minutes to reply back, but with the amount of Ezekiel is typing . . . he's changing everything. ]
I may have to never scream again.

[Not going to deny it this time. He knows he's coming off as sus, but Jun did have his priorities and the threat of monsters ranked higher than secrecy. Especially when he seemed to be the only Underground agent around. At least it looked like Mr. Ezekiel wasn't pressing.
The pause was odd, and the message? Even odder. ]
Why can you never scream again?

Now there's coffee all over my dress shirt.
