[ It's been a little over a week since Judai first arrived in this city and oh boy, he's not doing so well. Asides from, you know, getting shot, he's been homeless this entire time. Of course, it's not that big of a deal since he was homeless back home as well, but this heatwave is killing him. He only has a single pair of spare clothes but the shirt is a long-sleeve and the jacket is too hot in this weather. So, he's been practically wearing the same t-shirt and pants for this entire time... ]

I - SHOULD HAVE PACKED MORE CLOTHES :/

[ When you don't have any money, you gotta do what you gotta do. That involves being at the park and washing your clothes in the pond. He doesn't have any soap, but this is better than nothing. He also doesn't have a spare pair of pants so he's just kneeled down in his boxers as he does the best he can to rinse out the sweat in his shirt and jeans. The jeans still have the bullet hole and bloodstain because how is he supposed to properly get it out when he doesn't have anything, huh??? yeah answer that ]

II - HEY, HIS EYES ARE UP HERE :/

[ Once he finishes washing his clothes, he goes ahead and starts to clean himself as well. He's not dumb enough to strip out of his underwear and step into the pond, however, because duh, you shouldn't do that. No, he summons one of his duel monsters and cleans up in his boxers instead. Again, he doesn't have soap or shampoo, but rinsing off in cold water is pretty refreshing. He stands in the field of grass, away from others because he shouldn't get in the way of anyone. He just wants to shower(?) in peace. ]

III - SOMEONE BETTER GIVE HIM BAIL MONEY :/

[ After hanging up his clothes on a tree branch to dry, Judai decides to take a nap on the bench underneath it. He has nothing else to do so might as well get some shut-eye. Still stripped to his underwear, he places an opened book over his face to get the sun out of his eyes and goes to sleep. Wake him up when someone calls the cops for indecent exposure, zzzzzz. ]

Is that how it works? [When the first thing Judai asks of him is to bail him out of jail...] Isn't starting out being an acquaintance?

We know each other's names and we're getting along, right? Then we're already friends.

[ Honestly, it doesn't take much for Judai to consider someone as his friend. ]

... Isn't that a low bar? [But Yuya laughs, a little disbelieving and because it's kind of sweet. Naive, but sweet.]

Okay, but I still can't bail you out of jail if you get any more naked. You should really put your clothes on.

[ With a satisfied grin, Judai complies but only because he got Yuya to agree(?) that they're ~friends~, though it's... really gross wearing wet jeans like ew... it sticks to him and they're really heavy. As a result, it's kind of hard to get into them and that's more than enough for that officer to march up. Yeah, he's been walking towards them the entire time and he's finally here with his baton. What the hell do you think you're doing!! ]

[It sounds a little desperate but hey, Yuya's never had real friends so maybe it's doing something right.

He jumps when he hears the officer yelling. He gives Judai a sidelong look before waving his hand.] It's okay, we're leaving now!

[ Oh no, another cop who is coming to shoot his other leg... his pants are now going to have matching blood stains on both sides. ]

W-Whoa! Yeah, hold on, I'll be dressed real soon!

[ But that's easier said than done when he's struggling to put on the pants and the shirt is still in the water, and this cop isn't very patient. He points the baton at Judai, telling him to stay right there because he's under arrest for indecent exposure! And then he swings the weapon at Yuya, also pointing at him very accusatory. Are you an accessory to the crime!! There is no such thing when it comes to indecent exposure but he's a cop, not a lawyer, ok. ]

[Yuya's eyes cross as he stares ar the baton. Looks over at Judai. Looks up at the cop.] It would be indecent if he was completely naked, right? But he's still covered. And he's going to put on his clothes and we're going to leave, so we won't be any trouble sir.

[ Judai keeps quiet as he doesn't know if he will say anything that will help the situation. He just focuses on putting on his wet clothes. ewww he has to put on wet socks and wear shoes... in the meanwhile, the officer looks rather displeased that this teenager seems to know the specifications of indecent. He pauses, going over the situation before he lowers the baton. ]

[ ... fine, but if he sees this dumbass half-naked again, I'm taking him in. He will stand right here and stare at the two all the way until they leave the park. ]

['Shut up' is probably the smartest idea Judai's had.

It's so awkward, but Yuya swings off his bike while Judai gets dressed and as soon as he's got his shoes on, he shoots the officer a sweet smile.] Thank, have a nice day officer. Let's go, Judai.

[He grabs for his gross wet arm to haul him away, using his other hand to guide his bike.]

[ The officer glares holes into their backs as they walk away. Judai nearly trips as he is dragged along, grabbing his bag and trying to keeping up. He continues to stay quiet until they're a good distance away so they can't be heard. ]

I didn't know you were so good with dealing with cops. Thanks!

[ He seems way too relaxed about the whole incident. He's acting like everything's just fine and he wasn't just about to get arrested. ]

I guess you really did bail me out.

Just don't wash your clothes in the fountain again, okay? Or... any of you. [Yuya wrinkles his nose as he eyes Judai. Please, don't let him find Judai bathing in there next.]

Hey, I at least know that.

[ He's not that dumb.............. maybe. ]

I guess I need to find a new place to wash my clothes.

[Like the laundromat... Judai either needs a job or a sugar daddy.] Who have you met from that app that lives here?

[Yuya's tiny apartment doesn't have laundry, but maybe someone with a house has a machine he can use for free until then.]

[ He goes quiet, having to think. During this entire time, his shoes make gross wet sounds with each step. Either he doesn't notice or he doesn't care as he ignores it. He thinks. ]

Hmm, not anyone I know really well. Jun told me to contact someone, but...

[ He just stops talking and shrugs. ]

But...? [Yuya releases Judai's arm, finally, tilting his head.] Who did he suggest?

Uh, some really hard name.

[ He can't pronounce Zeke's name and he's not going to bother. ]

I never met or spoke to the guy, so I can't just ask him if I can stay over.

[He assumes if Jun is giving his info out, he's said it was okay... but maybe failing to remember his name because it's hard isn't a winning strategy to earn a room.]

So where are you staying right now? Outside?

Yeah, I found a pretty nice bench underneath a tree. It's been comfortable so far.

[ He says this as if he's actually super okay with it and happy that he found a bench to sleep on. ]

Is that really safe? [Vitae isn't exactly known to be a crime hole, but it definitely happens. What if he gets mugged or attacked by a wild animal? Black bears exist in New York what if he gets eaten by a bear.]

Yeah, I don't normally run into any trouble. Besides, if anything happens, I'll just take care of it.

[Yuya looks... a little doubtful.] But you know you don't have to, right?

[ He honestly doesn't mind it, but since everyone is so concerned, he'll eventually move into the mall. ]
