Hello? I might be wrong, but it seems like this is the easiest way to communicate with those who are in a similar situation.

My name is Heathcliff Blanchett. I'm a wizard from the East, if that sounds familiar to anyone, and I arrived quite recently. I have a few questions, though my main concerns are that I seem unable to perform my magic and that I don't have any of the currency used in this place.

If anyone has an explanation or advice, I would deeply appreciate it.

To be fair, I'd arrived here just last month. There must be some time discrepancies whenever you jump from world to world - something that we haven't yet asked our Sages, come to think of it.

Anyhow, I do suggest buying one of those newfangled smartphones first. The one you are using right now is apparently a very old model, and I figure that you'd like to be more updated with your technology. Although I am too attached with said old phone for me to let go of out entirely...

A month is still a fair bit of time, though if time passes strangely compared to back home that's reassuring. With the Calamity still coming, it would be terrible to be down two wizards.

It might be for the best to upgrade, though I am curious about how these phones work. I've heard the Sage mention them, but they never were able to explain how they function, precisely.

And also, it'd be preferable if we could keep an eye on each other while we're here. This town isn't as it seems, as you can tell with our weakened powers at the moment. They do come back in due time, but at a rather slow pace.
